1 Timeline for ILIAS 12

  • Big Projects Jour Fixe on 24 November 2025
  • Dependency Jour Fixe on 08 December 2025
  • Coding completed: all features implemented and test cases finished by 28 October 2026
  • Release 12.0 beta1 and release_12 branch planned for 02 November 2026
  • Beginn of testing phase scheduled for 04 November 2026
  • End of testing phase planned for 26 February 2027
  • First stable 12.0 release planned for 15 April 2027
  • Full maintenance support for version 12: until 31 December 2028
  • Security bug fixes only: until 31 December 2029

There is no more Feature Freeze for ILIAS 12. Features can be suggested anytime and are – if elaborated – accepted for trunk. The responsible authority decides if they make it into 12 or into a later version.
