1 Timeline for ILIAS 13

Big Projects Jour Fixe on 30 November 2026
Dependency Jour Fixe on 14 December 2026
Coding completed: all features implemented and test cases finished until 27 October 2027
Release 13.0 beta1 and release_13 branch planned for 29 October 2027
Beginn of testing phase scheduled for 02 November 2027
End of testing phase planned for 09 March 2028
First stable 13.0 release planned for 13 April 2028
Full maintenance support for version 13: until 31 December 2029
Security bug fixes only: until 31 December 2030

There is no more Feature Freeze for ILIAS 13. Features can be suggested anytime and are – if elaborated – accepted for trunk. The responsible authority decides if they make it into 13 or into a later version.

4 List of New and Extended Features

Below you see which accepted feature requests will make it into ILIAS 13. All features that have been accepted by the Jour Fixe but for which the responsible developer cannot foresee yet whether they will be implemented for ILIAS 12 or not are listed on the page Accepted for Trunk.

The following implemented features have been approved by customer and will be committed to trunk, soon.

The following features are already implemented and now waiting for approval by the customer.

4.5 Contract settled

The following features are already settled for release 13. Funding is available and an appropriate contract with a service provider has been concluded to implement the feature. Implementation of these features starts soon and will hopefully be finished before coding completed.

Jour Fixe has already accepted to abandon the following features. But code still needs to be removed from ILIAS 13.
