Abandon Access Codes in Tests

1 Reasons to Abandon Feature

The Jour Fixe rejected the request to Remove the option to let anonymous take tests in public area at its meeting at 26 JUL 2021 due to a high number of institutions that need to run tests anonymously. The Jour Fixe reduced the request to Abandon Access Codes in Tests. This would still allow to reduce the code as intended originally. The Jour Fixe also recommended to hold a workshop with all users that have already contributed to the discussion and communicated their need of the feature. A new request to Abandon Access Codes in Tests would be accepted for ILIAS 8 - if necessary resources are available.

2 Technical Information

{The maintainer has to provide necessary technical information, e.g. dependencies on other ILIAS components, necessary modifications in general services/architecture, potential security or performance issues.}

4 Funding

Removing the feature from the ILIAS code base might need funding. If you are interest in funding this request, please add your name and institution to this list.

5 Discussion

Strassner, Denis [dstrassner]13 OCT 2021: We talked about eliminating access codes at the Feature Workshop on 9/16/2021 and concluded that we still need them. Another result was that we want to change the wording and that the access codes should appear on a separate test tab. A first feature request, which takes up the test tab, must still be adapted accordingly. This request to abandon access codes is set to "Outdated".

6 Implementation

{The maintainer has to give a description of the final implementation and possible consequences for existing installations.}

Removed Testcases

The following testcases have been removed from Testrail or modified because the feature is no longer part of the ILIAS core.
