Perform Actions for Large Set of Users

1 Description

It should be possible to perform all actions in the user administration panel not only to the currently selected number of users (checkboxes), but also to all users of the whole active set (determined by the current filter). Additionally an action "Send Mail" should be offered that allows to send a mail to the selected set of users (undisclosed recipients!) up to a pre-configured maximum number of users.

JF 2 Apr 2012: We appreciate the feature. While implementing this, we should discuss a similar way in the course/group member lists, too.

5 Implementation

JL 31 Aug 2012: The additional checkbox "All Objects" is available in the user accounts list for list sizes below 1000. This upper limit can be changed in the client.ini with the entry TABLE_ACTION_ALL_LIMIT in [system]. The implementation is available for all table GUIs and not restricted to user accounts.
Please note that it will not be possible to send mails to a large set of users in 4.3 - as it has been postponed due to technical limitations in the mail module.
