4 Discussion
JF 31 May 2010: As communicated by Jens Conze this feature is only funded as a basic patch. We will postpone it.
Alex, 8 Mar 2012: The feature is now ready for trunk integration.
JF 19 Mar 2012: We appriciate this feature.
Two aspects:
- The status that triggers issueing the certificate is the course status, not the learning progress status, correct?I'm asking because the only placeholder referring to a status is [DATETIME_COMPLETED], and "completed" is a label for a learning progress status while the respective course status is "passed".
- Did somebody already think about where these certificates are to be presented to learners?
Here are some ideas:

- It would be preferable to have a standardized way of presenting cerificates across different object types.
- Up to now, certificates only arise after the user demanded them. So, they aren't saved persistently. It would be preferable to have them saved in some location like the Personal Workspace ...
- object lists: in the status area below title/description (preloader)
- within the object: in the actions area at the top right (use certificate icon + action)
MH 03 Sep 2012:
Das ist eine tolle neue Funktion!. Besteht die Möglichkeit, diese Funktion auch ab ILIAS 4.2.5 zur Verfügung zu stellen?
5 Implementation
JL 31 Aug 2012: The certificate has been implemented according to the JF decisions above. Like all other certificates the course certificate can now be properly toggled active or inactive for each object.
