Allow empty mandatory fields in administration
1 Description
There are different scenarios when mandatory fields are useful. Sometimes you want to force the admin to fill-out those fields, and sometimes you want users to complete their profile.
Problem: If a mandatory field has to be completed by the user, it's impossible for an admin to leave it "empty".
This feature adds a checkbox "ignore mandatory fields" to the local and global user administration. If activated by the administrator, ILIAS will then ignore empty mandatory fields - but only if they are visible to and editable by the user. This way it is granted that all mandatory fields will be completed, either by the user or the admin.
2 Status
- Implemented in: ILIAS 4.3
