Favourites have been introduced with the General Page Layout Revision in ILIAS 6. The feature was extracted from the 'Selected Items' list of the former Personal Desktop and shows only those repository objects a user has personally selected by adding them to Desktop. Selected items that appeared in this list due to memberships in courses and groups are now part of the list of 'Courses and Groups'.
