Test: Abandon Additional Info-Page Information and Setting for Info-Page

1 Reasons to Abandon Feature

Some Test-Setting Information are shown on the test info page. As the info page is on the list of potentially to be abandoned features (as discussed in the WS 10 APR 2025), we like to remove this information with ILIAS 11. Also, we want to remove the setting to hide the "Info" Page.

This information could be easily manually provided within the introduction message if needed by regulations or something.

Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], 11 APR 2025: Regardless of the need to move this information from the info page, which is likely to be abandoned, I think placing this information in the ‘Test’ tab above the launcher button is a significant improvement in usability. This is because you should know which settings and special features the test has before starting the test. However, I would recommend working with significantly fewer headings and formulating the values on the right more clearly. I would be happy to help with that.

Kergomard, Stephan [skergomard], 11. APR 2025: From my point of view the information on this page is aimed at test providers/administrators. There might be special cases when a test provider would like to provide parts of it to the participant, in this case it is very easy to type the information in manually, but in most cases this information would only be confusing.

Weber, Jens [jens.weber], 11. APR 2025: I think it would be preferable to keep the setting for hiding the Info tab (– until eventually the page is maybe abandoned altogether).
