1 Reasons to Abandon Feature

  • The orginiator of the features never stated using it productively.
  • The relationship to taxonomies has issues that need adressing.
  • Clearing up these issues has been proven difficult for some years now.
  • Offering just one option for selecting objects allows for clarity.
  • This reduces the complexity of the search, since this is run by the search in the background.

3 Discussion

Use the following discussion section to express your objections against this request or your consent to get rid of this feature.

Bogen, Christian [bogen] 2025-03-27: We are using the filter in categories with lots of ECS course links (and I’ve been recommending doing this to other universities in our local ECS community for some years). We’d like to take part  in the discussion to either keep this feature (and make it better—yes, there is room for improvement  …;) or to find a (viable concept for a) suitable alternative.

4 Implementation

{Short description of the final implementation and possible consequences for existing installations.}

Removed Testcases

The following testcases have been removed from Testrail or modified because the feature is no longer part of the ILIAS core.
