Abandon «Status is Determined from Number of Visits»

1 Reasons to Abandon Feature

We combed through Learning Progress options to improve the communication of workload. We were looking for options to shed and get rid of.

The options "Minimally Required Amount of Time Spent" come very close and should suffice. This Number of Visits option can be löet go.

2 Technical Information

Learning modules that use this setting will get a deactivated learning progress after migration to 10.

5 Discussion

Use the following discussion section to express your objections against this request or your consent to get rid of this feature.

Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], 29 JUL 2024: Please clarify what happens with learning module that are using this setting in/until 9. Will the LP setting automatically changed to '… is Deactivated' or to another setting when updating the installation?

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 05 AUG 2024: We highly appreciate this suggestion and schedule the feature for ILIAS 10. Learning modules with the abandoned setting get the status 'Deactivated' after migrating to 10. If they are part of a collection that determines the LP status, the LM is kept within the collection.

In addition, the setup should create a list of uses for this setting and allow administrators to change the related LP settings, see also PR7426.

6 Implementation

{The maintainer has to give a description of the final implementation and possible consequences for existing installations.}
