(Project) Improvements of Competence Management for ILIAS 8

1 Aim of Project

With the project "Improvement of Competence Management for ILIAS 8" we want to improve the user-friendliness of Competence Managament, make competence profiles more visible, provide a progress bar and generate learning history entries.

A further central point of the project is the revision of the Spider-Web diagrams for the representation of competence profiles.

Short Conceptual Summary

The project addresses the following extensions:

• Spider-Webs are a difficult to read. As a first step a KS-Element for bar chart is prepared to replace spider-webs.
• If all profile targets are achieved, a competence profile is considered to be fulfilled. This is not comprehensible for users. The progress of a profile is not visible. For this reason, the presentation of the profiles should be revised, a progress bar should be introduced and the profile fulfillment should generate entries in the learning history
• Deleting competence is really hard, you cannot delete them unless you deleted all usage by objects and users, finding those usages is not helped at all. It should be easier to delete single competences.
