Florian SUittenpointner - August 19, 2014:
I have some more suggestions for this:
- List shows other users with different properties and allows to filter for shared properties:
- shared master data
- shared org unit
- matching between user data fields "Need for Support" / "Support Offer" (from version 4.5)
- shared last visited objects
- shared membership in objects
- shared objects for which notes or comments have been created
- shared objects put on the personal desktop
- shared tags
- jointly selected competencies
- users who viewed something I'm sharing from my personal work space
- users who are currently online, too
- This list must of course be sensitive to:
- restricted access to user data
- publication status of the account (this would have to be supplemented by other publishing options, s. subitems above).
- The list could then offer various actions (both for individual items as well as bulk):
- write an e-mail to the user
- invite the user into a chat (if online)
- view the user's profile (or e-portfolio as a profile)
- leave a comment or rating ther
- send a link to your profile to the user
- send a link to your own competencies the user
- insert user in your contact list
- make another user who already belongsto your contacts aware of that user
- share calendar with user
- send a link to their own office hours to the user
- ask user for sharing a calendar
- share objects from the personal work space with users
- have shared objects from the personal workspace of the user displayed
- share e-portfolio with user
- make users aware of object that is on your own desktop
- ... and, if you have the appropriate rights:
- make user a member of an object (course, group, exercise, test [with fixed membership], survey)
- put object on the user's desktop
(however, this feature would have to be enhanced, so any user-specific assignments are possible) - assign a competence (or an entire competency profile) to the user (a separate permission could be created for that purpose)
- view learning progress report of the user
