Assigning an object to a survey

1 Initial Problem

Oftentime surveys are administered to evaluate a course. This nexus between a course (or any other object) and the survey results must be made by the interpreter of the data or it needs to be written explicitly into a question or the introductory message.

Killing, Alexander [alex], 16 May 2019: I support this idea in general.

• Shouldn't this be listed on the info/start screen of a survey, too?
• I guess the information should use a "Info Message Box" on the non-print screens
• If we allow a general object assignment, "Location" and "Tutorial Support" will not be available in general

Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], 12 AUG 2019 : Thanks for this proposal. Is an assigned survey restricted to one course and cannot exist outside this course or be assigned to a second course (in other words - does this feature has an impact on RBAC)? Or is it more a kind of metadata to show this specific relation between a survey and a course?

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 12 AUG 2019: We highly appreciate this suggestion and schedule the feature for ILIAS 6 with the following modifications:

• Please use a message box to list the related course (as already suggested by Alexander)
• Please add this information to the Info screen, too.
• We reduce the displayed information to those available for all object types - unless strong reasons can be presented to list "Location" and "Tutorial Support" as course-specific information here.
• Feature has no impact on RBAC.
