Export of huge amount of data categories

1 Initial Problem

The category with tons of objects is difficult to export.

2 Conceptual Summary

• A general issue is that the export feature may not work due to the very high number of children objects. 
• Disabling the export due to a high number of objects should be a feature of the export and implemented in general for all export workflow.
• We offer a export setting in Administration where an administrator can define a reasonable value for a maximum number of exportable objects, taking into account e.g. hardware and other cirumstances of the installation.

This is a sub-project of Category for Huge Amount of Data.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 30 JUL 2018 : We highly appreciate this suggestion and schedule it for 5.4. We would like to have this feature for all container objects  (and not just for categories) that have implemented the standard export. The setting label should be changed to "Export Container Content" with options "Disable Export" and "LImit Export" (default) and default value "500". Please add a short notice to the Release Notes of 5.4 to notify about this changed behaviour (no limit until 5.3).

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 07 MAY 2019 : We re-schedule this feature request for 6.0. The request to extend this feature for other containers is removed. The suggested labels from the last decision should be considered for 6.0 to clarify the behaviour of the feature. For the future we would like to support such exports by using the background task. But this is a new request.
