Improved Question Preview in Pool

1 Initial Problem

The Preview in the pool does not show all content of the question. The presentation of controls differs to the ones in the test player.

2 Conceptual Summary

The Preview of a question in the Pool should offer the controls in the same way, than the test does. The buttons for checking the input and for requesting hints need to be displayed within the question container.

Furthermore the feedback section needs to be completed with showin the numer of points made. Points should be granted as configured in the question. No score cutting to 0 should be implemented at all. Even not when the preview is called from a test object, because considering this setting in the background is not transparent for the users.

7 Discussion

Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], 02 JUL 2018 : Please introduce a new paragraph style 'Feedback Title' to distinguish this style from the page title style. The feedback title could not use the same hierarchy as the page title. It must be of lower hierarchy. Possible style settings could be dotted underline and a smaller font-size.

Rabah, Rachid [rabah], 27 AUG 2018 : Please consider, that the calculated points for the question are also missing in the preview of the question in the pool!

8 Implementation

The feature has been implemented according to the desciptions above:

• The buttons for Check and Request Hint are now shown within the question canvas as known from the test player.
• The points earned for the given answer are shown within the feedback section as known from the test player.
• Within the test object the question preview is considering the settings for enabled feedbacks (generic feedback, answerspecific feedback, earned points, best solution).
• Within the questionpool the question preview enables all feedbacks by default.
