Sorting in SingleChoice Questions

1 Initial Problem

We use SingleChoice Questions with a big number of values e.g. universities. Each time we have to add new items we manually have to put them in the correct alphabetical order e.g.

We have a list:

Berlin
Hamburg
München
Saarbrücken

if we add new Frankfurt the list would be

Berlin
Hamburg
München
Saarbrücken
Frankfurt

But we would want

Berlin
Frankfurt
Hamburg
München
Saarbrücken

if we have 500 items and add 4 new items it takes a lot of time to put everything in the right order and humans may do to many mistakes if the order comes not with the first letters like

Wesselburen
Wesselburener Deichhausen
Wesselburenerkoog
Wesseln
Wesseling

2 Conceptual Summary

• In Single Repsonse and Multiple Response Questions we would like to have a button to order the items alphabetically.
• After sorting  an individual answer could still be manually put on top.
