Language Update as Background Task
Page Overview
[Hide]1 Initial Problem
Updating languages takes a while due to the size of the language files that have to be read into the database. In the current implementation of ILIAS, the user stays at the confirmation page for the language upload and is only indicated by its browser that something happens. Why not using the background tasks for this job and allow the user to continue his work in ILIAS?
2 Conceptual Summary
Change the process of updating languages in ILIAS by implementing this process as a background task.
