Configurable Recommendation Accepting Workflow in Courses with Learning Plan

 
Overview: Enhancing Learning Plans

1 Initial Problem

By now (ILIAS 5.2.x), a course's learning plan offers to accept the course administrator's recommended schedule or not. This is useful because without that workflow, the course administrator couldn't check whether a participant accepted the schedule without any changes or whether he/she didn't notice the schedule at all.
However, in courses without any tutorial supervision, this workflow isn't necessary, it rather confuses participants as they don't know whether it's necessary to use it.

2 Conceptual Summary

So, it is supposed to make configurable in the course settings whether the recommendation accepting workflow is displayed in the course's learning plan view (and in the course administrator's learning plan view of individual participants):
This should be a sub-option of the "Timings View" option.

7 Discussion

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], July 03, 2017: We suggest to abandon the feature to accept the recommended learning plan. This would reduce the complexity of the feature. If there are any institutions that really need this feature, please notify the product manager Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel] until July 17, 2017 (next JF). Scheduled for 5.3.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], July 17, 2017: Due to missing time and manpower, this feature can't make it into 5.3 and is now scheduled for release 5.4.

8 Implementation

The former feature was abandonned. Thus a screenshot is not possible.
