ILIAS Page Editor: Links for Sections

1 Requirements

It should be possible to define a internal or external link for a section in a page. Technically an a-tag should be used to wrap around the DIV of a section. HTML5 allows doing so ("The a element may be wrapped around entire paragraphs, lists, tables, and so forth, even entire sections, so long as there is no interactive content within (e.g. buttons or other links).").

However an info text for this option should clearly state, that no interactive elements should be wrapped into the section, if a link us set for the section. ILIAS would not technically prevent this, but the results are undefined.

4 Implementation

Use the page editor and add or edit a section element. A new option "Link" will appear to offer the possibility to set external or internal links.
