News Item Creation for Test

1 Requirements

When a test is created or becomes available, currently no course / group news entry is created. Thus users are not informed about this in the daily course/group mail and might miss out on that.

Therefore, a news entry should be create follwoing the news guidelines. It should only be visible for those course/group members for whom the test is visible.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], Nov 23, 2015: We highly appreciate this request and schedule it for 5.2. The news entry shall only be created when the test is set online.

4 Implementation

When a test object is set to online, a corresponding news item is generated, containing the test's title, as well as the information itself. The test is also linked, so it can be opened easily. When the test is set to offline again prior to any participants have taken the test, the news item gets removed, so there is no confusing information left.
