Publish Grading and Feedback not immediately but whenever you want

1 Requirements

Extension of the "Submissions and Grades" tab

You can adding

• Grading and Mark
• Feedback as Textfield (Comment), as Mail and deposit a feedback file

for each participant/submission. These notes are published immediately when you click on "Save Selected" or "Save All" (or when you "Save" the Text Field as Comment).

But there is no possibility to prepare these notes without publish them already - so if you like to send all Gradings and Feedback for all participants at the same time, you have to prepare those outside of ILIAS – you have only one time to save all your comments.

We would suggest a "Publish" button for (see orange button on screenshot)

• on the right side of each participant/submission,
• in the dropdown menu (so admins can choose several participants/submissions) and
• publish all together ("Publish All" button near the "Save All" button).

With this new Publish-button, the actual behavior changes:

1. Publish-Button saves the last changes, and publish the changes.
2. The "Save All"-Button, and the "Save Selected"-Button only saves the changes, but theses changes are not yet visible for the correspondant participants.
3. When changes are published, then the "Publish"-button should be inactive/grey. When there are unpublished comments, then the "Publish"-button should have for instance a color. The color of the "Publish"-Button: Orange? Discussion about the Design is necessary.
4. Only if a admin click on one of thoses "Publish"-buttons then Grading, Mark and Feedback in Text Field and Feedback File will be visible for participant on the assignments overview tab.
5. When the admin adds new comments, or grades, and save this comments, then the "Publish"-Button will become the "Orange"-color again.
6. Below the "Publish"-button, a comment "Sent on "xy-Date"" is necessary.

Zenzen, Enrico [ezenzen], 12 SEP 2022: This request no longer fulfills the requirements of the Feature Wiki. In consultation with the maintainer I change the status of the feature request to "Redundant / outdated". If the request is still relevant, please update template and mockups.
