1 Requirements

Within wikis a new page element component "Wiki Page List" should be implemented. The element can be added as soon as advanced metadata are in use for a wiki. The element displayes a list of wiki page titles. The settings of the elemtent allow to filter out a defined set of pages by search criterias. All fields of the advanced metadata set are offered (all fields of types exiting in ILIAS 4.4). The following comparisions are offered:

Text fields: Equal
Date/Time: Equal, Lower, Higher
Selections: Equal (multiple values)

All entered criterias are combined with an AND combination.

Matthias Kunkel, 13 Apr 2014: I support this request, too. Based on the recommendations by the maintainer and the head of development I schedule the feature for 4.5.

JF 28 Apr 2014: We appreciate this idea. Please coordinate the development with the feature More Types for Advanced Metadata (if this is scheduled for 4.5, too).

Matthias Kunkel, August 22, 2014: What still could be improved for 4.5:

The Page List entry "Seitenliste einfügen" in the page editor menu should not appear when no metadata set has been activated for the wiki.
If I copy one page list and add it somewhere else, it should really be a copy that allows me to modify the settings of the copied block (without changing also the settings of the original one). Otherwise it would never be possible to use this element in page templates.

Matthias Kunkel, 05 Dec 2014: The interface for "Insert Page List" should mention what this feature does. Otherwise it is very difficult to understand. Example: "Adds a list of pages of this wiki that are all assigned to the selected metadata below."

JF 8 Dec 2014: We agree that an additional information text should be added to the form.

Matthias Kunkel, March 29, 2015: After having used this new feature I would like to suggest a tiny change in the presentation of empty lists. At the time being, an empty list is presented with a simple text "Keine Einträge", see following screenshot.

My suggestion is to present an empty list as bullet list, too. This would make such lists easier to recognize and distinguish from usual text entries.
