4 Discussion

BH 14 Oct 2013: I do not see any technical problems implementing this feature. We could add another option to the result and scoring settings enabling/disabling the presentation of the marking message in test results.

It is to be discussed if the visibility of the marking message is to be enabled/disabled in whole or if we have to differentiate the message into passed/failed status (Sorry, you failed the test.) and the resulting mark regarding to the configured mark scheme (You resulting mark is: "failed").

JF 25 Nov 2013: We support this feature. The description of the option should make clear, that the learning progress feature (if activated) is not affected by this setting.

YS 07 JAN 2014: I support this feature too! We often use ILIAS tests for online exercises in further education. There the word "Note" (german) or "mark" (english) isn't a proper definition in this context. So we would prefer to differentiate the message into passed/failed status like "Congratulations, you passed the test." and resulting mark regarding to configured mark scheme "Your resulting mark is: "bestanden"".

BH 12 June: Now we have a justified need to differentiate the marking message into passed/failed status and the mark itself, so the implementation should be done accordingly.

5 Implementation

BH 18 September 2014: Feature is implemented and ready for acceptance.

Settings screen to enable presentation of passed status
Passed status presented to participant but not resulting mark

Klaus Zimmermann 08 October 2014: We tested and accepted the feature.
