JF 25 Nov 2013: We support this idea and schedule it for 4.5. The rendering of the player should be done using the Services/MediaObject service. Contact Alex Killing if necessary.

5 Implementation

This feature is available in the trunk. Necessary modifications included:

• The mob field was renamed from "Image" to "Media Object"
• A user can upload not only images but also additional media types (.jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .png, .mp3, .flx, .mp4, .m4v, .mov, .wmv)
• If the media object item is of type audio or video, the ilMediaPlayerGUI class is used to render the player
