Signing System Mail With Contact Information

In current ILIAS versions system mails are signed with installation name and its description. Installation name can be anything cryptic for internal purposes.

So it would make more sense to use data from the contact information page (Administration > General Settings > Contact Information). Alternative or additional it would be useful to place a complete signature to the mail administration page.

JF 11 Apr 2011: We agree that this could be improved. We schedule this for Release 4.3. At least it should be possible to deactivate the installation name (maybe we abandon it completely from the signature).

2012-04-02 KSchmidt: No, please don't abandon the installation name from the signature per default. Instead I would find it highly preferable if the signature could be customized. There are settings for mail in the Administration » Mail where you can change the preface appearing in the subject or the noreply-address. This would be a good place to customize the signature, imho (including placeholders e.g., for Client ID, URL of the installation or aforementioned contact information).
 
This would also be a nice place to change the display name (= sender) of system mails. As far as I know the default display name »ILIAS« is hardcoded into one of the mail classes (change [ILIAS] in mail sender information).
