Closing the Circuit of Competence Development in ILIAS (Overview Page)

1 Requirements

By the state of version 5.1, ILIAS has already a bunch of approaches to map competence management. However, a full circuit of development of users' competence cannot be realized with the means available at present.
We provide a short outline of how we understand such a circuit of competence development:

  1. Learners get to know to requirements made on them in terms of competences.
  2. Learners make a self-assessment.
  3. Learners receive an external assessment.
  4. Learners compare required and actual competences.
  5. Learners search for ways to react (or receive recommendations on that).
  6. Learners improve their compliance.
  7. Learners are recognized as competent.
This article analyzes means to realize that in ILIAS.
