Introduce incognito mode for assignments

1 Requirements

I propose introducing a new "incognito" mode for all assignements that use the peer feedback feature. The idea is that course admin should have the option to lock themselves out of a peer feedback process to give students real privacy.

  • If activated, the instructor can only see who has handed something in and who has given valid peer feedback, but the actual files and the peer feedback (files) are not accessible (not even for systemadmins).
  • The setting to enable this can be changed until the first student answer has been handed in, then it is fixed and the answers are locked away.
  • The instructor should not be able to hand-in a solution him/herself.
  • The Assignemnt's Overview page show a message "Incognito Mode - tutors cannot access any files, texts or feedbacks for this assignment. You are on your own here..."
  • On the screen "Submissions and Grades" only some student related data is shown in order to give the instructor a feeling of whether the method is working:
    • amount of files haded in / "text handed / NOT handed in"
    • amount of feedbacks given
    • amount of feedbacks received
    • Passed / Not Passed
  • The incognito mode should work with both the anonymous and the personalised peer feedback modes.
Scenario:
The students are required to hand in an essay. The instructor requires / offers them to take part in a pre-flight feedback round in which they hand-in their first version of the essay with the peer feedback enabled. The instructor promises the students that he/she can not have a look at the "first versions" and enables the "incognito mode".  At the top of the assignment's page an info-text shows "Incognito Mode" or perhaps "Private Mode"  - "Course admins and tutors cannot access any files, texts or feedback that are handed in by course members" (or something even more catchy). The students now dare to hand-in even quite daring essays.
