Extension of peer feedback: self-review

1 Requirements

Additional to peer review mode users should be able to review their own assignments. To be able to review them self, users need a criteria catalog or master solution.
For end results teachers can compare peer and self-review result. It is only necessary to intervene if there is significant gap between.

This function helps learners by getting them to see their work under the perspective of a reviewer. Grades from (at least three) other learners then offer a comparison of this self review. This is important feedback as poorer learners tend to overvalue their own grades (better learners tend to under-estimate their abilities). It's a reality check.

Possible Workflow

Step 1: Learners upload a solution.
Step 2: All learners get a master solution and/or criteria catalog for review.
Step 3: Lerners review (e.g. 3) other solutions.
(standard peer review until here)
Step 4: Learnes review (literally) their own solution.
Step 5: Learners get their reviews from other learners after submitting own review and can compare them with their self review.

Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], June 01, 2015: I am not sure if I understand the workflow correctly. @ Jochen: could you describe in brief how such a self-reflection review process could look like. It starts with the upload of the learner's solution to ILIAS. And then? When and how is the review process taken place? And is needed for it? Thanks!!!
