Member Gallery Improvements: Print View, Sorting
1 Requirements
A lot of teachers want to have a sheet of paper which shows them the faces and names of their students at a glance.
Right now it's only possible to print the Members Gallery of a course via the print-function of the browser. The quality of the prints that are generated this way is not very good and varies a lot from browser to browser. Especially the firefox-browser (which is the most widely used in higher-ed institutions) is most problematic as it omits some members and generates empty pages - see screenshots:
Of course you could say this is a browser glitch, but there should be a decent way to print AND/OR export the members gallery of a course. This is why I suggest a print/export function for the members gallery that contains the following features:
- Possibility to choose which roles are printed/exported
- Possibilty to choose which information is exported (e.g. the possibilty to omit the usernames from the print view), but this is "nice-to-have"
- Possibility to export the members gallery as an Excel or PDF - file
Furthermore, the members gallery should be sorted according to the different roles in the course. This used to be the case but it was changed with one of the last updates(?). Right now all members of the course are sorted alphabetically, regardless of their roles in the course, which is not practical.

4 Discussion
AT 2015-02-19: Thank you very much for providing the examples of the prints. That was eye-opening!
I second this motion. Especially the sorting according to different roles. Maybe separate the lists of roles by headlines.
