- External Library:
- Status of Entry: To be revised
- Status of Implementation: to be implemented
- Description*:
- Purpose: View Regulating Popovers contain elements to manipulate the view of the current block or table in terms of data displayed.
- Composition: The possible settings for regulating the view are usually displayed in list like manner either allowing the user to perform a single or multiple choice selection. If a multiple choice selection is displayed, the View Regulating Popover also contains a button to apply the current selection at the bottom. Current selections must be indicated by an OK Glyph for single choice settings or checkboxes for multiple choice selection.
- Effect: Clicking a trigger which might be a link with a caret for tables or a Cog Glyph for boxes opens the View Regulating Popover. Selecting a single single choice option immediately applies the setting and closes the Popever. For multiple choice settings, a Refresh button on the button has to be clicked. If the Popover is closed without applying the selection, it is discarded.

3 Components that are not compliant with the Guideline
- Todo in ILIAS 5.2:
- Major issues:
- The cog menu for “My Portfolios” and “Selected Items” comprise actual actions that do not belong at all to the “regulating views” category. They have to be moved out of these drop downs and find a new home in the Block Actions Dropdown with a Pencil Glyphicon acting as trigger. The Actions are:
- “Remove Multiple Objects” for “Selected Items”
- “Manage Portfolios” and “Add Portfolios” for “My Portfolio”.
- “Add Appointment” in Course Calendar (see Screenshot 1)
- “Settings” in “News” in courses (see Screenshot 2)
- in wiki navigation is an actual action (see Screenshot 3)

4 Discussion
Note to KS:
- The actions in the overlays triggered by the block-cog ahould not be migrated to a new trigger element. The popover should feature headlines "xy actions" with the respective actions and "block presentation" with the view regulating options.
- All drop-downs should be categorized as pop-overs.
- Pop-overs define the "body + pointer" paket.
- The specific entry describes the content of the body.
Note to KS:
- Collude "Annotational Pop-overs" and "Regulating views Pop-overs" into one "Form Pop-over".
- Toasts do not have a trigger.
