1 Description
Currently (ILIAS 4.3) ILIAS operates with one global file upload limit. Different file upload limits would be useful, since e.g. the requirements of SCORM uploads and forum attachments are very different.
A new settings section should be added to the "Files and Folders" administration that enables the configuration of different max. file upload limits for functionalities like
If a user uploads a file that exceeds these limits, it is deleted directly after the upload and an error message is triggered.

Jour Fixe, 06 Aug 2012: We highly appreciate this improvement and schedule it for 4.4. The list might be extended which object types should have which max size by default.

I'd like the flexibility by object type very much. So we could prevent heavy files (e.g. illegal copies of books) in the container objects like courses, folders, groups and categories, but allow the upload of big learning modules. Don't forget the file upload in exercices!
