2 Bugfixing for maintained versions 3.10, 4.0 and 4.1

Next releases:

• 4.0.11 is scheduled for 26 November 2010.
• 4.1.3 is scheduled for 19 November 2010.

We went through Mantis and had a overlook about all open issues. All issues were screened and assigned to the responsible developers.

The 4.1.x branch is scheduled for November 19, 2010. After the branch has been created, the trunk is again open for development. If you update ILIAS from SVN, please do not forget to switch SVN. A special mail will be send to develop-ilias within this week.

3 Feature Wiki: Plans for Future Versions

• Mail search: A separate Lucene index for (internal) mails is highly appreciated and scheduled for 4.2.
• Empty System’s Trash Bin: The feature is highly appreciated and scheduled for 4.2. We would like to extend this idea and revise the "Repository Trash and Permissions" feature: 1. Rename "Repository Trash and Permissions" to "Repository"; 2. Add a new administration section "Trash"; 3. Trash offers (a) Table overview on all trashed objects incl. filters for type, date of deletion...; (b) Tree view with number of trashed objects for each node (and total trashed objects in the subtree); (c) Feature to finally delete all objects in a subtree; (d) Feature to delete trashed objects by type/date (as now available in the system check)
• Delete - user interaction: We highly appreciate this idea and scheduled for 4.2. We created a new guidelines page: Confirmation Screen Guideline. Please continue the discussion at this page.
• Manual sorting in groups: All in one block and manual sorting within this block: This setting would be the same as the Simple View with Sort Manually in courses. We highly appreciate the idea and scheduled it for 4.2.
• Redesign of survey diagrams: We highly appreciate the idea and scheduled it for 4.2.
• Test Results: Link the question with an anchor: We highly appreciate both ideas and scheduled them for 4.2.
• Test Results: Show right answers in Show users detailed results (marked passed): We highly appreciate the idea and scheduled it for 4.2. Maybe this could be toggled on/off. But if only one answer is shown, it should be ok to show the correct solution additionally below in general.
• Big Blue Button: We had a look at the system and very much like the idea to make it available in ILIAS. The implementation can be done anytime as an ILIAS repository plugin.
• Sorting in Sessions: We highly appreciate the idea and scheduled it for 4.2.
• Revision of Start Objects in Courses: We highly appreciate the idea and scheduled it for 4.2.
• Popular Pages and Rating: We highly appreciate the idea and scheduled it for 4.2.
• Multilingual content support: We highly appreciate the idea but need a sound specification and committed funding before scheduling the feature.
