Date questions

Sometimes a type of questions is needed that asks for a date.
This could theoretically be realized by several essay questions, albeit this is not a nice solution.
The problems really begin when you want to use a date entry as a precondition - this can not even be realized with essay questions.
So, it would be nice to have a date question. By the way, it should be possible to define the data format in which these entries are to be transformed when you export the data (e.g., Unix format).

We looked through this proposal and do not feel this question type should be part of the trunk. We would of course be interested in providing this question as a plugin.

JF 7 Jan 2013: We understand the requirement. We think that this feature could be a trunk feature, since it is not too individual. We would like to keep the discussion open for now and wait, if any other institutions would like to have this as a trunk feature. Please set this topic on the agenda again, if you would like to see it in the trunk.
