Integrated Usage Statistics

1 Description

Integrate usage statistics functionality into ILIAS, so that administrators can easily retrieve the following data:

• Number of user accounts being in use (for example, in the last 24 hours, 30 days, 90 days, 366 days).
• Number of active user accounts per hour of the day (for example for today and yesterday, averaged over the last 90 days over all weekdays, averaged over the last 90 days for each week day)
• Activity in a section of the repository in each month over the last 24 months (number of read and write accesses in a category, course, group)
• Overview over the distribution of objects in the repository (distribution of objects over categories, relative sizes of categories, courses, groups and folders to each other, relative age of objects)
• Export of the statistics data for further scrutiny using external tools.

If possible, all data shall be displayed graphically, so that in most cases no external tools are required.

2 Status

• Scheduled for Release: Not scheduled yet, a prototype has been implemented at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSLU) and is in use since October 2008.
• Funding: Funded by Hochschule Luzern (HSLU)
• Development: Feature is to be developed by HSLU
