Media Pool: Abandon Upload Directory

1 Reasons to Abandon Feature

The Media Pool allows to get files for "upload" from a distinct directory in the data directory of ILIAS.

Since this feature is quite hidden, lacking a general concept for other file usages and relies on the legacy ilFileSystemGUI, it should be removed.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 27 MAY 2024: We highly appreciate this suggestion and abandon this very special feature for system administrators with ILIAS 10. Uploading huge number of files is much better supported today than at the time we introduced this feature.
