5 Discussion

Use the following discussion section to express your objections against this request or your consent to get rid of this feature.

Bauser, Nadine [nadine.bauser], 13.06.2024: Abandoning Scorm would be a showstopper for us. We would no longer be able to use ILIAS. We use Scorm modules for internal training in many courses. If we were to decide to do this, we would need to know now, as our strategic planning requires significant lead time. This means that we would have to start looking for a new platform now. As we are talking about the discontinuation of an entire object, I find communication as a feature request extremely difficult. If you don't keep track of all the feature requests, that information can get lost. I would like to see a different communication method in order to be able to build on reliable software.

Domanski, Marcel [m_domanski], 20.06.2024: I absolutly sign every word, Nadine wrote. It would also be a show stopper for us!
And if SCORM-support really 'dies', we (as company) should have known it by yesterday, concidering strategic plannings for software with a view of the next two to five years.
The future of SCORM in ILIAS should be clearified asap!

Klöß, Melanie [mkloes], 26.07.2024: A significant amount of lecturers at Hochschule Bonn-Rhein-Sieg uses SCORM modules. Therefore we would like this feature to remain in ILIAS, please.
