5 Discussion

Use the following discussion section to express your objections against this request or your consent to get rid of this feature.

DHBW has some scenarios, where we use Weblinks to control access to objects which we could not achieve via Page Editor (I am not sure if this is not possible or if we just did not find a way for this). Please contact Jackisch, Ingo [jackisch] before abandoning this.

Zenzen, Enrico [ezenzen], 23 JULY 2024: We at Steuer-Fachschule Dr. Endriss often use Weblinks as internal links.

  • We use Weblinks to refer to centrally organized content and cannot use the Page Editor for this, as participants should be led to believe that they are opening a "normal" object by clicking on a tile or a list entry.
  • Optionally, we could use category links. However, these cannot display a description and have no availability, which is important for our scenarios.

6 Implementation

{The maintainer has to give a description of the final implementation and possible consequences for existing installations.}

Removed Testcases

The following testcases have been removed from Testrail or modified because the feature is no longer part of the ILIAS core.

  • {Test case number linked to Testrail} : {test case title}
