Send Survey Invite Mail
Page Overview
[Hide]If you need any help in filling out this wiki page, please visit our ILIAS Community FAQ. And please complete the metadata information in the right column after having created the page.
1 Initial Problem
When you click on 'invite Participants' (Survey > Participants - Invite Participants) in a Survey, (and then search for a user and add them) this currently leads to a 'to do' task being created and displayed on that user's Dashboard in the 'Tasks' section.
This has led to some confusion, with people on discord assuming that 'Invite Participants/Teilnehmer einladen' meant that an invite mail would be sent. This has led to confusion/misunderstandings among users at a least one university. It was suggested that I could maybe fix the issue linguistically. However, after looking at the issue in more detail, I have come to the conclusion that there is no easy language fix. Sending a mail to users you have invited to take part in your survey would indeed be the most logical behaviour in this situation.
2 Conceptual Summary
Users who are invited to participate in a Survey should also receive an invite by mail in addition to having a task added to their Dashboard.
