Abandon News from «Info-Page»

1 Reasons to Abandon Feature

On the «Info-Page» of objects like files, groups or courses a secondary panel with News is presented. This particular News presentation is to be abandonned. Other presentations of News remain untouched.

Why abandon this? 

• The presentation on the«Info-Page» of the File object the News are not very informative: If users are dispalyed with three news entries per upload. They additionally get to see the upload date in the  «Info-Page» content. Thus they currently get presented with the same info four times. 
• The presentation on the«Info-Page» of courses or groups is only presented if users have read-permission for course or group. If they only have the «visible» permission, they do not get presented with news. But if they have read permission they can consume the news inside the course or group as a secondary panel or as a Time line. 

Other News presentations will be kept: In courses and groups News can always be presented as Timeline or secondary panel in the Content-tab.
