Abandon Services/MyStaff and Modules/EmployeeTalk

1 Reasons to Abandon Feature

The Technical Board supposes the removal of Services/MyStaff and Modules/EmployeeTalk to save the release of a stable ILIAS 8. The code of both components has not been sufficiently tidied up to fulfill the relevant requirements for the release of ILIAS 8.

The actual maintainer has informed the product manager in the first week of January 2023, that he would like to hand over maintainership to another developer. The PM stated: "In case we do not find a new maintainer that takes over responsibility for this component already for ILIAS 8 and fixes bugs to get the component stable for 8.0 we have to remove the component. Deadline for taking over maintainership is 22 JAN 2023."

The code of both components incl. additonal changes in other components will be removed with Pull Request #5333

Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], 23 FEB 2023: Maintainership of Staff component has been taken over by Famula, Thomas [tfamula] (1^st) and Schmitz, Tim [tschmitz] (2^nd). They are already bugfixing the component and make them ready for ILIAS 8. No need to for this abandon article any more.
