Global Sorting for Dashboard Sections

2 Conceptual Summary

Within Global Dashboard Settings of Presentation and Sortation for all Dashboard Sections all Sections will explicit activatable or deactivatable.

It should be possible for all sections in main panel and all sections in side panle to be determined in their order for the entire platform. 

Either a table with a sorting function (similar to the main menu) is used.

With this Feature no individual setting of the section per user is possible.

Schmid, Fabian [fschmid] 2023-02-23: I strongly recommend changing the dashboard or the tiles that the dashboard offers to a collector/provider pattern with the GlobalScreen service. A configuration (global, but later also e.g. per user) is thus extremely simplified and the possibility of adapting the dashboard to one's own needs is greatly increased. I am available at any time if you would like to have a look at this together.

Szmais, Ingmar [iszmais] 2023-03-02:  Thank you for your conceptional effort in this point!

Though we appreciate the approach to find a "home" for the dashboard (since it seemingly has no real place where it belong to in the current ilias) we dont see the global screen as a fitting solution. Even though we agree that this would be an improvement to the current state, this maybe work better as an imporvment of the accesability for devs in future and not as the solution of the initial problem. The dashboard is most commonly for near to every ilias plattform but we would define it as global, since its provision isnt as obligated as e.g. the menu. Its not requirement for an initial ilias presentation, its more kind of a default wich can be keeped or changed. I would most likely compared it to the repository wich is crucial for the major of all ilias plattforms, but you can still create a functional a semanticly usefull ilias without it in special cases. 

Therefore we think an approach in this direction would be initialy more suitable.
