Streamline Competence Entries on Competence Records-Tab

1 Initial Problem

With ILIAS 8 the competence records in competence profiles (Achievement » Competence Profiles) have been revised.

Competence records are also displayed in the tab "Competence Records". Legacy UI is still used here. In order to streamline the presentation of competence records, the record in the tab "Competence Records" will now also be transferred to KS components according to the Achievements » Competence Profiles-view.

2 Conceptual Summary

In order to further streamline competency entries, roll out additional KS elements, and place Suggested Resources more prominently, competence records will be moved to Reporting Panels.

Suggested Ressources

Suggested resources will be displayed in a card in the upper right corner. In the panel body, the competence descriptions and the individual records are displayed.

Assigned Materials

It is possible for users to assign materials from their Personal Resources to competence levels.

The materials are still displayed below the competence entries (known behavior from ILIAS 8).

Since this feature will be removed in the future, we will not be adding a second card to the KS Element Reporting Panel, but will display the materials in their old location for a release.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 19 SEP 2022 : We highly appreciate this suggestion and schedule the feature for ILIAS 9. Please check with the SIG Portfolio and Competence Management if "Materials" is still needed here (or if this could be abandoned).

Zenzen, Enrico [ezenzen], 23 NOV 2022: In collaboration with the SIG Portfolio and Competence Management and in discussion with the maintainer, the concept had to be revised. Since the Assign Materials feature is still in use, the feature cannot be abandoned. Accordingly, the want to change the presentation as follows and convert competence entries into the following UI components:
