With ILIAS 8 the competence profiles in the overview under Achievement » Competences have been revised.

Competency profiles are also displayed in courses and groups. Legacy UI is still used here. In order to streamline the presentation of competence profiles, the competence profiles in courses and groups will now also be transferred to KS components according to the Achievements » Competences-view.

Separating Competence Recourds and Competence Profiles in Courses and Groups

Currently, all competence records that users achieve in a course are collected and displayed in a course profile. However, competence profiles should always specify competence target levels and suggest learning content based on the target levels. 

In order to clearly separate the concepts, we want to display the competence records achieved in a course in the Competence Record-tab.

The course-specific competence profiles are displayed in the Competence profiles-tab. 

Competence Profile Overview

Competence profiles in courses and groups should no longer be displayed in a dropdown. Users do not realize that there can be multiple competency profiles in the dropdown. Also, they cannot see the progress in each profile.

Competence  profiles are to be converted to a standard listing panel with lead image and progress meter.

If a user clicks on a competence profile, the profile opens. The competence entries are displayed in a reporting panel. Via the "Back" tab, users can return to the overview "Competence Profiles" tab of the course or group.
