1 Initial Problem

The preview as a member is very often sought or requested in the consultation. However, it is often not found.

Due to the positioning on the far right, the mode also often disappears in the points menu.

In addition, calling up this "mode" as part of the tab navigation is actually systematically inappropriate.

The location as well as the systematic make the use of it in need of explanation.

2 Conceptual Summary

Access to the mode is to be moved to the toolbar. Using a Default Button with Label "Show Member View".
In Member View Mode the button is hidden.

This will make it more prominent and also much more systematic.

6 FEB 2023, Kergomard, Stephan [skergomard]: I very much like this change. One question though: We would only show this on the 'Content'-TAB in the 'View'-Subtab, right? Or would we also be adding this to other places?

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 06 FEB 2023: We highly appreciate this suggestion and schedule the feature for ILIAS 9. As a specific feature to visualise a view - here the view of a group or course member - the button 'Show Member View' should appear on the 'View' tab and is not needed on the 'Manage' tab.
