1 Initial Problem

The Info Page displays the information.

Since ILIAS 8 Owner, Creation Date are only displayed to users with "Edit Settings" permission.

However the usage statistics 

  • Number of Non-anonymous Read Accesses
  • Read by … ( Number of Distinct ILIAS Users)

should no longer be displayed to all target audiences. 

2 Conceptual Summary

The entire section "Additional Information "(Created on, Owner, Number of non-anonymous read accesses, Read by number of distince ILIAS users) on info page is to be displayed permission-dependantly: Users with "Edit Settings"-permission for the object get to see what is listed.

Killing, Alexander [alex], 23 Apr 2022: I would not introduce accordions on this page. Additionally section "Information for Authors" might be inappropriate for many object types. We just might present some data depending on permissions in existing sections. Please note that some sections are added by the concrecte repository object implementations (like Files) and need to be tackled by these components and their maintainers (Fabian Schmid in this case).

Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], 25 APR 2022: It's fine for me just to present this section always to users with required permissions and to waive using an accordeon. The major aim of this request to hide not relevant information from normal users is given anyway.
And concerning information coming from components (as the 'Storage ID' information of the file object) - could we offer a kind of interface to give component maintainers the option to "address" such information for this specific section? E.g. a kind of tag to notify the Info Page component where such information is displayed?

Seibt, Alina [alina.seibt], 04 MAY 2022: This FR is postponed due to the permanent link that won't be visible any longer. Therefore we decided to first streamline the permanent link for all objects in ILIAS. Afterwards this topic will be scheduled again.

Kunkel, Matthias [mkunkel], 18 JUL 2023 : Please remove the second suggestion about removing the information about 'Language' from this feature request as it is a separate discussion with different intentions. This suggestion should get its own feature request.
