Abandon SCORM Online Editor

1 Reasons to Abandon Feature

Alexander Killing would like to hand over the maintainership and we are looking for a new maintainer since some time. We would be glad if anyone would keep this feature alive. However there are lots of alternative applications to create SCORM content. Such a tool does not necessarily need to be an integrated part of a learning management system itself.

So if nobody is interested in taking over the maintainership we should remove the component from ILIAS completely.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 20 SEP 2021: We follow the suggestion of the current maintainer to abandon the SCORM online editor with ILIAS 8. If any other developer is interested to take over the maintainership, please contact Killing, Alexander [alex] within the next 2 weeks. Otherwise, the code will be removed from trunk.

JourFixe, ILIAS [jourfixe], 04 OCT 2021: Due to missing candidates for taking over maintainership we accept to abandon the SCORM online editor with ILIAS 8. The already scheduled feature SCORM Editor: Adding Snippet Content want be implemented as well.

The according Test Suite "SCORM Online Editor" was deleted by the test manager.
