Member Assignments for Import Type Campus Management

1 Initial Problem

The member assignment for ECS participants of import type "Campus Management" allows only the configuration of the folowing authentication modes:

  • ILIAS authentication
  • LDAP

2 Conceptual Summary

The selection of authentcation modes is enlarged by the following entries (if activated on the ILIAS installation):

  • Shibboleth
  • CAS
  • SOAP
  • Apache
  • SAML
If the ECS member assignment addresses an existing ILIAS user account which matches the combination of the external authentication mode  and the specified auth mode, the user account is directly assigned to the course/group.
If no user exists which matches the criteria, the user account information is store in a shadow list. After the first login (account creation) the, user is assigned to the course group.

Administration -> Extending ILIAS -> ECS -> Participants -> Import Type "Campus Management" -> Settings

The current implementation of the configuration screen will be migrated from ilPropertyForm to UI input elements.

No personal data except the combination of authentication mode and external account name is stored.
