User Language switches help to translated version

This arcticle outlines features that support the Process for Translating the Online Help.

1 Initial Problem

This article assumes that the translation is made available in the very same Learning Module and it the translation is done by a professional. This artcile does not strive for a full editorial support, but merely switching beweteen languages. 

2 Conceptual Summary

  • The online Help Package has a master language A and one or more translations B. 
  • ILIAS presents to the help in master language A to all users that set their user language to A
  • ILIAS presents to the help in translation language B to all users that set their user language to B. 
  • ILIAS presents the help in language B to all users that set their user language to C, D or else OR ILIAS presents not help to all users that set their language to C,D, or else.

3.4 Accessibility Implications

Switching languages is not expected to present any added accessibility issues.

No personal data is stored outside normal Learning Module data storing.
