Study Programme: New Action ’Update Certificate’ for Members Tab

1 Initial Problem

In a study programme administrators have the possibility to manage a member`s individual plan which also means that they can make changes affecting a user`s status of qualification. 

For example, it might be necessary to change the expiry date of a valid qualification. If a certificate including the placeholder "expiry date" has been generated and is provided , this certificate is no longer correct.

Currently there is no possibility to update the certificate with regard to the changed individual plan of the user.

2 Conceptual Summary

Administrators should get the possibility to initialise an update for a users`s certificate. Therefore a new action "Update certificate" on the Members tab of study programmes should be implemented.

An execution of this action should lead to a refreshment of the current certificate.

After executing the action a message should confirm the successful update ("Successfully updated certificate of selected users").

3.4 Technical Information

This obviously has a connection into the Certificate service. Currently it seems to be possible to implement this feature without any changes there.

4 Privacy Information

The feature itself will process no pricacy related data. But, of course, the Certificate service will need to do so to generate the certficate.

This is a feature that is relevant for privacy, however, as it allows to implement the "Right to rectification" for certificates created by the Study Programme.
