Portfolio Template as Start Object for Courses

1 Initial Problem

In many scenarios in which portfolios are to be applied, portfolio templates are used. However, it is always necessary to point out that the template is to be used as the basis for one's own portfolio. More detailed explanations are often required.

2 Conceptual Summary

In ILIAS the user can be scaffolded in a course by using of start objects. The concept of start objects will force the use of a portfolio template.
ILIAS shows that this is one of the first steps in the course.

The start object is considered as edited when a portfolio has been created from the portfolio template.
It is not necessary to use the learning progress (according to the maintainer). 
Any subsequent deletion or modification of the portfolio does not affect the fulfillment of the precondition.

• Sub Tab "Start Objects" in Settings-Tab of Courses » Portfolio Templates are selectable in Repository Picker

3.2 User Interface Details

New: Portfolio Templates are selectable in Repository Picker (Status: Template is used). (No learning progress needed)

Samoila, Oliver [oliver.samoila], 14 JUL 2020: The FeatureRequest was created after FeatureFreeze for ILIAS 7. This is due to the separation from a more comprehensive article. Portfolio Template as Precondition Element
This was required by the product manager and the maintainer.
